The Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 5600 Series is a high-performance resilient family of stackable switches suitable for wiring closets, distribution, data center and core applications. Consisting of five models, the Ethernet Routing Switch 5600 family offers both PoE and non-PoE models with up to 96 Gigabit ports. All models also provide at least two integrated 10 Gigabit ports for high-performance uplink connections.

With its industry-leading stacking performance, the Ethernet Routing Switch 5600 provides a truly scalable, resilient and non-blocking stack solution for enterprises. The family is also stack-compatible with ERS 5500 models for additional flexibility and investment protection.

The series comprises:

• Ethernet Routing Switch 5632FD
  The Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 5632FD provides all-optical connectivity, incorporating 24 1000Base-X SFP ports and eight 10GBase-X XFP ports and is ideally suited for the data aggregation applications, with non-blocking providing wire-speed performance on all ports.
• Ethernet Routing Switch 5650TD
  The Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 5650TD provides 48 ports 10/100/1000Base-T with auto-sense plus 2 XFP uplink ports and can be deployed in horizontal stacking configuration to create a high density, high performance data center solution.
• Ethernet Routing Switch 5650TD-PWR
  The Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 5650TD-PWR provides 48 ports 10/100/1000Base-T with 802.3af Power over Ethernet plus 2 XFP uplink ports and ideal for wiring closet applications providing desktop connectivity and support for IP-Telephony.
• Ethernet Routing Switch 5698TFD
  The Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 5698TFD provides 96 ports 10/100/1000Base-T, six combo SFP ports plus 2 XFP ports and provides the highest port density and best per-port cost with SFP and XFP optical interfaces.
• Ethernet Routing Switch 5698TFD-PWR
  The Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 5698TFD-PWR provides 96 ports 10/100/1000Base-T with IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet, six combo SFP ports plus 2 XFP ports and is ideally suited for wiring closet applications to the desktop with support for powered devices.
