Hosted Telephony Applications
Applinet offers a suite of hosted application products, including:
Managed Private Mobile Networks (PMN)
A PMN is a private GSM network that allows your staff to use their mobile phone in and around your office building without paying your mobile services provider for the minutes used.
Private mobile networks
- offer seamless transition between the private mobile network and the carrier mobile network;
- solve connectivity issues caused be poor signal locations or signal interference;
- can be integrated with your PBX so that mobile phones operate as PBX extensions or can replace the PBX entirely;
A high security standard is achieved by allowing only approved SIMs onto your private mobile network.

Virtual Team and Virtual Contact Centre
Virtual Team is a hosted application that enables geographically dispersed teams to work together as if they were located at the same site:
- Distributes calls to team members based on a flexible set of criteria. Team members can be assigned calls on a rota, each taking an equal share of the call volume, or they can be ranked in a priority list.
- Takes voice messages if calls are unanswered and alerts team members about existing messages
- Manages the queue of calls and can deliver tailored announcements to callers informing them of their raising position in the queue.
Virtual Contact Centre is a more advance version of this application that can handle in-bound calls in the same way as a contact centre, without the need for centralised call centre equipment, with the agents being able to receive calls at any location, over any network, to any type of handset.
These are just a few features of the Virtual Contact Centre
- Supervisor feature - listen to an agent's call, whisper to the agent or join the call
- Performance monitoring - access productivity statistics for each agent
- Call recording - allows all calls or a specific selection of calls (e.g. by agent or by number) to be recorded

Q-Voice
Q-Voice is a unique voice continuity service enabling your staff to remain contactable on their DDIs in the event of any business continuity issue.
How does Q-Voice work?
For emergency situations, where staff are unable to receive calls to their ‘office' DDI numbers, many businesses will have in place a divert service from BT. Smart/Rapid Divert are services provided by BT, which will redirect all the calls to the affected office to a single number. While this solution will maintain a communication channel open for you clients, it has a major limitation in that it cannot reach all your staff or even all departments.
Q-Voice resolves this problem without the need to change the existing telephony infrastructure or any of your existing telephony contracts. This is how it works: BT's Smart/Rapid Divert number is re-directed to a single number, provided by us, which is routed to our Managed Service platform and answered by an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. The IVR will redirect your calls to pre-registered mobiles or landlines. You can cover as many DDIs as you like, and it will only cost you a fraction of what multiple Smart/Rapid Divert Numbers from BT would cost.
Benefits of Q-Voice
- A highly flexible solution designed to ensure staff and teams remain contactable throughout an incident
- Enables calls to be re-routed to your staff's temporary work locations
- No change to existing numbers or infrastructure is necessary
- No manual intervention required
- Activates automatically when BT Smart Divert is activated
- Accommodates business services such as call recording
