ADSL and SDSL

ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is called "asymmetric" because most of its two-way bandwidth is allocated to the downstream direction i.e. sending data to the user.

Applinet can deliver fully managed or wires-only ADSL, with a guaranteed throughput of bandwidth for applications such as video delivered with a 4-hour SLA. We offer a wide range of contention ratios from 1:1 to 50:1 with guaranteed throughput.

SDSL (Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is called "symmetric" because the bandwidth is split equally between the downstream and upstream direction carrying data at up to 2.048 Mbps each way.

Applinet can offer SDSL solutions to areas over and above BT's foot print, through our partners offering Local Loop Unbundling (LLU).

Leased Lines

Also called "dedicated" or "private lines", leased lines are typically suited to medium and large businesses, providing fast, always on connection between two or more sites.

Applinet offers Internet leased lines of various speeds from 256Kilobites to 155Megabites, wires only or fully managed with bespoke SLA's. Unlike some suppliers who pass on the cost of back-hauling the line, we select the right carrier network based upon your location and not ours.
